MEGHAN SEAMAN – Owner, Artistic Director, Instructor

Meghan Seaman lives, breathes, and loves dance! She began her training in her hometown of Kitchener at 4 years old, and continued training in jazz, tap, ballet, modern, lyrical, and hip hop both recreationally and competitively. She also studied as a dance major in the Eastwood Collegiate Institute Arts Program, where upon graduation she was presented with the Outstanding Dance award to acknowledge her top marks and high level of commitment to the dance program.
Meghan has been featured in performances for Kitchener-Waterloo Musical Productions, Acapulco Pools, Waterloo Region District School Board, Walt Disney World,  9/11 Tribute Performance, and more. She has won a wide variety of awards and scholarships, and has twice been honoured as a recipient of the top award at the Kiwanis Dance Festival. She has also been nominated twice for a Kitchener-Waterloo Leading Edge Arts Award and the Stratford Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award.
Dynamic and diverse are two words to describe Meghan's choreography. She is known for her creative, age-appropriate pieces, and has been recognized numerous times for these skills. She has been named top choreographer at the Kinetic Cohesion Dance Festival, Shine Dance competition, and Dancefest, to name a few.
More important than the accolades and awards is Meghan's commitment to her students and their progress. She helps her dancers to excel technically while simultaneously exposing them to the usually unexplored aspects of the art of dance and the dance industry. It is evident that Meghan loves working with children by the matching smiles on both student and teacher's faces during dance class! Her efforts to go above and beyond in order to offer the best dance education possible are a hallmark of On Stage's success.

KATHERINE CLARKE – Instructor (ballet specialist)

Katherine Clarke has always been passionate about ballet and dancing. Growing up, she studied extensively at the Burlington Dance Academy and Carousel Dance Centre, where she successfully completed her Advanced Level examination. She attended Eastwood Collegiate’s Integrated Arts Program as a dance major, and spent her summers dancing at the Banff Center for the Arts and the Alberta Ballet summer school.

Upon graduation, Katherine was accepted in to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company, where as a member of the corps she performed in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, and more. While she loved her time as a member of the ballet company, she eventually returned to Toronto to graduate from Ryerson with her bachelor of fine arts in dance. While she was in Toronto studying, she also performed extensively, working with dance masters such as Robert Glumbeck and Roberto Campanella. She was a member of Proartedanza, a contemporary ballet company based out of Toronto, and can also be seen in the Paramount Pictures film “Save The Last Dance 2”.

Beyond her dance abilities, Katherine is also a certified yoga instructor and a certified lifeguard. She is definitely a busy woman! However her passion lies with dance, and she takes great pleasure in working with children and seeing their progress. Her gentle teaching and encouragement for all ensures that each of her students feel respected, allowing them to progress, grow, and enjoy dancing.

Joel Seaman began his dance training at the age of five in his hometown of Kitchener, spending 10 years training and competing in jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, and hip hop. He was accepted into the Integrated Arts Program at Eastwood Collegiate, majoring in dance and drama. Upon graduation, Joel was offered a contract with the Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre (CCDT), a nationally recognized professional modern dance company.
